ICC at AMAP meeting
The Arctic Council working group Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP) met in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands on September 16-18, 2013. Eva Kruemmel from ICC Canada and Parnuna Egede from ICC Greenland participated in the meeting. One of the major topics on the agenda was the Adaptation Actions for a Changing Arctic (AACA).
An implementation plan was discussed with the aim to "produce information to assist local decision-makers and stakeholders in three pilot regions in developing adaptation tools and strategies to better deal with climate change and other pertinent environmental stressors". ICC will follow this work closely and give input as needed.
