Inuit at Ministerial Meeting in Kiruna
On May 15 the Arctic Council will hold its Ministerial Meeting in Kiruna, the northernmost city in Sweden. About 120 representatives of the eight Arctic States and six Permanent Participant organizations will be present at this meeting, as well as observers from NGO’s and other states.
From Inuit Circumpolar Council (ICC), the chair Aqqaluk Lynge will be represented, together with ICC Alaska president Jimmy Stotts, ICC Greenland president Carl Chr. Olsen and ICC Greenland advisor on environmental issues Parnuna Egede.
The Kiruna Ministerial Meeting will be broadcasted from the Arctic Council website as live webcast between 9:00-11:00 local Swedish time, and will be available as a recording after the meeting has concluded.
